Yesterday Jacob decided to give himself a haircut. He climbed up on Zoe’s dresser and reached a scissors on a high shelf. He proceeded to trim the front. Here’s his hair after he cut it himself:

Today we fixed it, which resulted in Jacob getting a haircut just like Mike’s. Jacob is excited to have hair like daddy’s and he thinks that it’s a special superhero cut. Here is his new do:

Here’s Ian posing for a picture too. Notice the red cut by his eye? He got clocked in the head with a Mag-lite flashlight, the big heavy kind. Ouch!

Today is Ian’s first day of kindergarten. He is attending half days. He was a bit nervous this morning and didn’t eat much breakfast, was already faking a tummy ache. Once we loaded into the van he was very excited. The whole drive he kept yelling “we’re almost there!” When we arrived at school and entered the insanely busy parking lot he became nervous again and wasn’t sure he wanted to go inside. Once inside he was quiet, but did start exploring his classroom right away. I’m sure he’ll have a great day! Mom even managed to hold all tears in and not linger too long in the classroom:)

After exploring the classroom a little bit, Ian found his seat and posed for one last picture before mom had to leave:
